Software Integration Engineer

July 2024 - Present

Since rejoining Quadient AP, I’ve worked on developing and enhancing API integrations and features using PHP. Additionally, I’ve worked on features for our on-premises ERP sync software, utilizing C#. My role involves ensuring seamless data flow between customer ERP systems and the Quadient AP platform.

As a Software Integration Engineer at Quadient AP, I integrated financial information from a customer ERP system through to the Quadient AP software. I conducted web application testing in PHP using POSTMAN and worked with SQL, TypeScript, and JavaScript. In addition to ERP integration, I worked independently on a project to create an in-house custom URL shortener leveraging AWS services, including EC2, S3, Route 53, and RDS for MariaDB.

As a Service Router Test Automation Engineer at Nokia, I developed and monitored regression tests in Tcl for management activities and network scenarios. Working within a Linux-based environment, I maintained the regression suite and wrote tests for my assigned feature. I published results and continually improved test functionality to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.

In my role as Lead Program Instructor at Byte Camp Education Society, I led engaging and educational summer camps focused on game building. I taught camps utilizing both Godot and Scratch, enabling campers to explore game development concepts and build their skills. Specifically, in Godot, we covered the creation of HTML5 games from scratch, including the development of 2D vector art. I facilitated hands-on learning experiences by teaching code, supervising assistant instructors, and ensuring the safety of the campers.

As a Trip Leader for Queen's Outdoors Club, I organized and led both day trips and overnight excursions across Southern Ontario and New Hampshire. My responsibilities included planning itineraries, managing gear, creating meal plans, and coordinating transportation and lodging. My role also involved student outreach to increase participation and interest in the club, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all members.

As the Travel and Safety Coordinator for Queen's Climbing Club, I was responsible for ensuring the safety and smooth execution of outdoor climbing trips. My role involved teaching students essential climbing skills such as anchor building, belaying, and outdoor climbing techniques. I also managed the creation and oversight of safety documentation, ensuring that all trips were conducted with the highest safety standards. Additionally, I coordinated logistics for trips to prominent climbing destinations, including Rumney, New Hampshire, and Red River Gorge, Kentucky, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for all participants

First Aid Attendant

I founded and led the First Responders Program at Seaquam Secondary School, establishing a team of ten students trained in emergency response. Over the course of the program, I volunteered more than 150 hours as a first responder and completed a rigorous 40-hour first responder course, alongside a 16-hour standard first aid certification. Additionally, I launched a health science club to complement the first responders' training, fostering a culture of safety and preparedness within the school community.
